The following dress regulations reflect the recommendations of the school board and continuing administrative evaluation of student dress. The rules apply to ALL middle and high school students.
The purpose and intent of these regulations are 1) to encourage modesty, neatness and order appropriate to students of a Catholic school, and 2) to ease the cost, confusion and competition frequently associated with clothing school-aged children. The administration has the final decision on all questions regarding student dress.
BOTTOMS
Pants, slacks and skirts (pleated or straight) of cotton twill in KHAKI OR NAVY, are the approved style. Pants may NOT have loops or extra pockets on the legs (i.e. cargo pants, carpenter pants). Denim and corduroy are NOT acceptable.
From May 1st until September 30th, "walking" shorts or skorts, mid-thigh to knee length, are permitted. Cutoffs, tight shorts, or shorts of immodest length are not permitted. No shorts allowed October 1st to April 30th.
TOPS
Solid color polo shirts, long or short sleeved, in NAVY, LIGHT YELLOW, WHITE, BURGUNDY OR HUNTER GREEN. ALL shirts must have collars, button fronts and tails. ALL shirts and blouses must be worn buttoned with tails tucked in at all times. Brand logos no larger than a quarter on the front left area of the shirt will be allowed.
No T-shirts or t-shirt style tops are allowed. No top may have logos, lettering, pictures, messages, advertisements, college or other crests (approved school logo accepted).
Solid color cardigan sweaters in Hunter Green may be worn over shirts and blouses. They may not be extra large or baggy.
Solid color sweatshirts (no hoods) in Hunter Green may be worn. They may not have logos, lettering, pictures, messages, advertisements, college or other crests on them. Extra large, baggy sweatshirts may not be worn.
Solid white oxford button down shirts/blouses with collar and tail may be worn.
Kelly green or gold (school colors) polo shirts bearing approved St. Pats logos on left front pocket area are acceptable wear.
PLEASE NOTE: We continue to experience difficulty with young ladies wearing shorts that are much too short or tight. Student response to the meaning of "walking shorts" will determine whether we continue to allow shorts to be worn to school.
